Our commitment
IDM Windows & Doors Ltd wants everyone to be able to use this website, www.idmwindowsanddoors.co.uk, whatever their abilities or the technology they use. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, and we treat accessibility as part of building the site properly rather than an afterthought.
What we have done
This site has been built with the following in mind:
- Clear page structure with one main heading per page and headings in a logical order.
- Descriptive alternative text on every meaningful image, and decorative images hidden from screen readers.
- Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator on links, buttons and form fields.
- Text and background colours meet WCAG AA contrast requirements.
- Text can be resized to 200% and the layout reflows on small screens without loss of content.
- Form fields have visible labels, and errors are explained in plain language with alternative ways to contact us.
- Animations are reduced or removed for visitors who have turned on the "reduce motion" setting on their device.
- Menus, accordions and other interactive components use standard accessible patterns and announce their state to assistive technology.
- The site does not rely on colour alone to convey information and has no flashing content.
Known limitations
- Product brochures (PDF). The brochures on this site are produced by our manufacturers, including Eurocell, Sheerline, Alunet, Smart, Tradelink and The Residence Collection. They may not be fully accessible to screen readers. If you need the information from any brochure in another format, contact us and we will help.
- Third-party links. Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Google are outside our control and may not meet the same standard.
- Photographs. Some older installation photographs are lower resolution. We are replacing them as we photograph new work.

Our showroom at the same address is on the ground floor with level access from the street. If you need any assistance with your visit, please call ahead and we will make arrangements.

Technical information
This website is a static site built with modern HTML, CSS and JavaScript and hosted on Netlify. It has been tested with keyboard navigation, browser zoom, the "reduce motion" system setting and automated accessibility checks in current versions of Chrome, Safari and Firefox on desktop and mobile.
This statement was prepared on 7 September 2026 and will be reviewed at least once a year and whenever the site changes significantly.
